Denver, CO- Alice Robinson, Community Manager for Monroe Group’s Aurora Montview Apartments was honored this month as the Affordable Housing Management Association’s (AHMA) “Community Manager of the Year.”  Alice was recognized for her accomplishments at the 2008 Rocky Mountain AHMA conference and is a two-time recipient of this prestigious award.

Alice was selected for the award as she consistently goes above and beyond her required responsibilities and has instituted many programs at Aurora Montview to benefit her residents.  From organizing holiday food and toy drives to helping an Aurora Montview family apply for a house with Habitat for Humanity, Alice continually surpasses expectations. 

Believing that safe communities lead to safe homes, Alice has dedicated over 400 hours a year for the past 15 years volunteering for the Aurora Police Department.   In her own words Alice says “I look forward to doing my part to make my community a better place and to do that you have to have a good relationship with the police department, so I have strived in all ways to make that happen.”   Alice contributes to the Aurora PD in many areas from working DUI Checkpoints, to conducting Seatbelt Surveys, to helping in the auto-theft program.  Alice also acts as the Secretary to the DARE Board of Directors and is on the Executive Board of Directors for the Police Alumni in the capacity of Volunteer Coordinator, and additionally coordinates the motorcycle run to Children’s Hospital to bring toys to the children during the holidays. 

As a Community Manager, Alice is top-notch and is both well-respected and loved by her residents and co-workers.  Alice has dedicated countless hours and untold energy over the past 15 years to create a safe and enjoyable home for her residents and is certainly a shining star in the Affordable Housing community.  Monroe Group extends heartfelt congratulations to Alice on this great achievement.
