| MONROE GROUP DIRECTOR OF FINANCE NAMED ONE OF DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL’S FORTY UNDER 40 |
Date of Release: 03/13/2009 Denver, CO- Sudhir Kudva, Director of Finance at Monroe Group Ltd. is recognized this month by the Denver Business Journal as one of the top “Forty Under 40.” The 13th annual list highlights forty business leaders under the age of forty who demonstrate leadership in business and make outstanding contributions to the community as a whole. Kudva is one of forty young business leaders honored out of over 300 nominations. Sudhir “Sudy” Kudva joined the Monroe Group in 2008 as Director of Finance and provides strategic direction for the company’s financial portfolio and oversees a multi-million dollar budget. Prior to joining the Monroe Group, Sudy was a Principle Consultant at Avaya where he focused on developing new business lines. His previous experience includes senior level positions at Austin AECOM, CHFA, Inflow, Qwest and the Federal Reserve Bank. Sudy has a B.S. in Finance from Truman State University and a MBA from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Sudy is also an extremely active member of the Denver Community and has a clear passion for philanthropy as he is involved in many and varied local non-profit organizations. His volunteer activities include mentoring for the Byrne Urban Scholars, an organization which focuses on helping at-risk youth to graduate high school and continue on to college, and acting as a board members for the Young Non-Profit Professionals Network (YNPN). In addition, he has served on the finance board of the Denver SafeHouse, and the board of the Denver Business Series. He also provides sponsorship funds for the Ascent Foundation, Hoofs and Paws and various other non-profit organizations. Not only does he volunteer much of his time as a mentor, fundraiser, organizer, and sponsor for our local non-profits, he also encourages his peers to give back to their community as well. At both Inflow and Monroe Group, Sudy implemented paid “Volunteer Days” into employees’ benefits to encourage community involvement among his peers. Kudva is featured along with the other Forty Under 40 honorees in a special edition of the Denver Business Journal published March 13th, 2009.
